Hollow product dimensions: outer length is not opening size

The word hollow describes a feature, not a complete measurement. An overall length and an outer width can help you understand the physical object while leaving the opening and internal space unspecified. This distinction is especially important when comparing differently shaped products.

Use the dimensions attached to the exact record

V38's supplier image lists a 21 cm overall length, 5 cm width and 8 × 7 cm base. These are the labels supplied for V38. They do not establish a verified internal diameter or the dimensions of V25, which has its own extension-sleeve description. Do not combine measurements from two different records.

Look for the missing internal information

Check whether the page states an opening measurement, cavity length or other relevant internal detail. If it does not, mark it as unknown. The outside form, colour and the word hollow are not enough to calculate stretch or guarantee fit. Photographic perspective can add further uncertainty.

Ask about intended construction as well as size

A useful question names the SKU, the component and the measurement you need. It can also clarify whether any part detaches for care. Avoid assuming that all hollow products are interchangeable or that the simplest care method used for one applies to another.
